Stella Matutina College of Education

Stella Matutina (Morning Star) College of Education, managed by the Franciscan Sisters of the Presentation of Our Lady, was established in July 1961 and offers B.Ed., M.Ed., and Ph.D. programmes. The College, conferred Autonomous Status in 2005 and affiliated with Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University (TNTEU), is known for its academic excellence and innovative curriculum design. It has a remarkable record of quality assurance, being Accredited at the Five-Star level by NAAC in 2000 and Re-accredited with ‘A’ Grade in subsequent cycles, most recently in August 2023.

The Indian Educational Researcher (IER), a Bi-Annual Multidisciplinary Peer-Reviewed International Journal published by the College, promotes original research in Education, Teacher Education, Educational Psychology, Curriculum Studies, and related fields. It welcomes contributions from academicians, researchers, and practitioners addressing contemporary educational issues and innovations. The journal aims to foster scholarly exchange, inspire young researchers, and advance meaningful academic inquiry in education.

All submitted manuscripts must include the names of only those authors who have made a significant contribution to the research, along with their complete institutional affiliations. Manuscripts submitted to Indian Educational Researcher (IER) must not be under consideration elsewhere; if a manuscript is found to be submitted to another journal simultaneously, it will be immediately withdrawn from consideration.

All manuscripts submitted to the Editorial Office undergo an initial screening to ensure they are properly formatted and comply with the journal’s ethical guidelines. Manuscripts that fail to meet these standards or do not satisfy the journal’s quality criteria are rejected before the peer-review process. Those that pass the initial check are sent to at least two independent experts for review.
