The “Indian Educational Researcher (IER)” is a Biannual Multidisciplinary Peer-Reviewed & Refereed International Journal published by Stella Matutina College of Education, Chennai. The Journal publishes original research contributions in the areas of Educational Policy, Teacher Education, Educational Psychology, Curriculum Studies, and Pedagogical Practices across disciplines, Innovations in Teaching and Learning, Educational Technology, and other related domains of Education.
The Journal encourages the submission of high-quality theoretical and empirical research papers, case studies, review papers, literature reviews, book reviews, short communications, and innovative ideas that address contemporary issues in education. Submissions are welcomed from academicians, researchers, policy-makers, practitioners, and students from across the disciplines of education and allied fields.
The aim and scope of this journal is to provide a scholarly platform for the exchange of research findings, to foster dialogue among educational researchers, and to inspire young scholars in pursuing meaningful academic inquiry in their chosen areas of interest.
Stella Matutina (Morning Star) College of Education, under the management of the Franciscan Sisters of the Presentation of Our Lady, was established in July 1961. The College offers B.Ed., M.Ed., and Ph.D. degree programmes. In 2005, the College was conferred Autonomous Status. However, it continues to be affiliated to Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University (TNTEU). As an autonomous institution, it is empowered to design its own curriculum and to adopt innovative methods of teaching and evaluation. The College has a long history of excellence in quality assurance. It was Accredited at the Five-Star level by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) in April 2000, Re-accredited with Grade ‘A’ in 2007, Re-accredited (Third Cycle) with ‘A’ Grade and CGPA 3.48 in December 2014, and Re-accredited (Fourth Cycle) with ‘A’ Grade in August 2023.
