Modern Curricular Agenda for Tomorrow's ECCE

Thiyagu, K.
ABSTRACT
The District Primary Education Programme (DPEP) is a major national initiative and a significant step toward achieving the goals of Universal Elementary Education (UEE). It aims to reduce dropout rates and enhance the learning quality of primary school children through systematic planning and addressing the three core parameters of UEE: universal enrolment, universal retention, and enhanced learning achievement. Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) has been recognized as a crucial component for achieving UEE by promoting enrolment, retention, and improved learning at the primary level. This article explores the modern curricular system required for future ECCE.
