Social Media and Achievement Motivation of High School Students

ABSTRACT
Media plays a vital role in communication tools shaping public opinion. Due to the increasing contribution of media in the education sector, the media sector has gained significant importance among students. This study examines the influence of social media on the achievement motivation of high school students. Simple random sampling technique was adopted, and the sample consisted of 100 high school students from Kanchipuram district. Data analysis was carried out using t-test and multiple linear regression analysis. The findings reveal a significant relationship between social media usage and achievement motivation among high school students.
