AI and the Future Educational System.
Dr. Bagyalakshmi, C.
ABSTRACT
This piece explores the transformative impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on the future of education.
It highlights how AI is set to become an integral part of schooling, moving beyond traditional teaching
methods to create more dynamic, personalised, and data-driven learning environments. The discussion brings
forward key benefits, including increased student engagement and accessibility, streamlined administrative
tasks for educators, and tailored learning experiences. At the same time, it addresses important
challenges such as algorithmic bias, data privacy concerns, reduced human interaction, academic dishonesty,
and the costs involved in training and implementation. Ultimately, the reflection emphasises that AI should
be used to enhance, not replace, human capabilities. It calls for a thoughtful, ethical approach that
prioritises the development of higher-order thinking skills and collaboration, aiming to build a more
inclusive and empowered future for education.
