A Study on Problem Solving Ability in Relation to Self-Confidence

ABSTRACT
Self-confidence is the best outfit which everyone should wear it every day to face the problems of their life and to achieve the real purpose of the life. The topic of the study is a study on problem solving ability in relation to self-confidence. The main purpose of the study is to find the relationship between problem solving ability and self-confidence among high school students. The tool used for the study is the Problem Solving Inventory (PSI) constructed and standardized by P. Paul Heppener (1988) and a Self-Confidence Inventory constructed by the investigator. Stratified random sampling method was used. The sample size is 498. The findings of the study reveal that there is a significant relationship between problem solving ability and self-confidence among IX standard students.
