Value Conflict in Relation to Adjustment Behaviour among XI Standard Student

Paul Mary, Sr.
ABSTRACT
This study examines the link between value conflict and adjustment behaviour among XI standard students. Adolescents often struggle to balance personal values with social and academic demands, leading to conflicts that affect their behaviour. These conflicts can influence school performance, peer relationships, and emotional well-being. Using questionnaire-based data, the study identifies common value conflicts and analyzes their impact on students’ adjustment patterns. The findings reveal that unresolved value conflicts are associated with increased anxiety, withdrawal, and maladjustment behaviours. The study emphasizes the importance of guidance and support strategies to help students manage value conflicts and improve their overall adjustment in the school environment.
