Attitude towards Career Choice among XI Standard School Students

Dafini Pinky, F.
ABSTRACT
This study examines the attitudes of XI standard students towards career choices, considering variables such as gender and type of school management. The findings reveal that there is no significant difference in career choice attitudes based on gender. However, students studying in government schools exhibit a higher level of positive attitude towards career choices when compared to their counterparts in private and government-aided schools. The results emphasize the importance of structured career guidance and counselling in helping students make informed vocational decisions. Teachers play a crucial role in shaping positive career attitudes, and effective career counselling is essential for aligning students’ aspirations with national development and workforce needs.
